As of Sept. 23, 2018 Tiger Woods has now secured himself 80 Tour Championship wins with this most recent victory being his first win in over 5 years. During the tournament Tiger had a slow start that looked to be his downfall and maybe result in a loss in the PGA Tour Championship until a stunning comeback with a 1-over 71 for a two-shot win. Tiger had appeared to be more surprised about the win that the millions of people who were watching, exclaiming “I can’t believe I pulled this off,” during the award ceremony. Although Tiger Woods had played an amazing game of golf, what happened to the legend and why did it take him 5 years to finally get his 80th win? The main cause of Tiger’s absence in the golf scene is to believe to be because of the chronic back pain he was suffering from which he had announced had undergone surgery for back in April 20th 2017. Due to many health and personal problems it is suspected by many that Tiger Woods will not stay in the pro golf scene for much longer and may soon retire as a result Personally, I am very glad to see that Tiger woods is back on the playing field after such a long time but I do have my suspicions about whether Tiger will stay or not based on how much controversy revolves around him. Tiger has had a tremendous amount of golf history under his belt and deserves very amount of praise for his efforts in the various competitions he participates in. However, even though Tiger has now regained his glory once again I believe that his past injuries and other personal problems may come back and cause additional problems that could lead to him permanent retirement.
